Functions Of Character Images Among Ba Jin’s Novels

Ba Jin is an author with large amount works. The medium-length and full-length novels represent his art achievement. The volume of those provides the convenience for the development of character images. In this paper, the art functions of character images are discussed through research of the author’s subjective attitude and free development of content characters among the novels. The whole paper consists4parts:In the introduction part, the nature of Ba Jin sear is elaborated. The train of thought that the combination anaylzation of author’s subjective attitude and concert action of characters is also elaborated.In the first chapter, from the procedure of character images formation, the conclusion that the characters have certain degree of mapping functions to the life experience and attitude of feeling of Ba Jin is elaborated. By analyzing the creation ways of character images, the great influence of author’s subjective attitude to the character creation is affirmative.The second chapter mainly discussed content features and characters shapes after putting them moving freely in the content. The fittness and difference is analyzed by combining the author’s purpose and value with the characters with certain identities in order to discuss the expression function and its effects that the characters bring.Chapter three is the key part of the whole paper. In this part, the conception of character’s group image is posed and analyzing the noticing function of group images and structure of group images as well as the passing through function. The concert functions of character’s images in Ba Jin’s medium-length and full length novels are discussed gradually from the form to the content, from appreciation of beauty to thought.
