The Research On The Decoration Of Fish-Pattern In Porcelain Of The Qing Dynasty

The development of porcelain reached its heyday in the Qing Dynasty because ofthe stability of politics, prosperity of economic, and the great importance of the emperor.One of the most representative porcelain decorations in the Qing Dynasty is thefish-pattern, which not only give us a beautiful visual experience, but also a betterinterpretation of the distinctive national characteristics and the profound culturalconnotation Thefish-pattern of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty is a product of thedevelopment of the decorative arts to a certain stage, which requires us to look atfish-pattern of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty with a development vision. The profoundtraditional cultural connotations of the fish-pattern of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty mustbe inherited, in order to develop the decoration art form and provide a theoreticalreference to the decorative art and design of the modern porcelain. Only in this way, thetheory can be better used in practice.In this paper, the fish-pattern decorative features in the porcelain of the QingDynasty are studied as the main content. Firstly, an overview of the origin of thefish-pattern and the development of the fish-pattern of porcelain are provided. Secondly,the symbolic and the auspicious meaning of fish-pattern are elaborated. Thirdly, the mainfactor to influence the development of the fish-pattern of the Qing Dynasty porcelain isexpounded with the political and social background of the Qing Dynasty. Thecomposition form, the combination form and the decorative techniques of the fish-patternof porcelain are discoursed, used of the research methods of iconology, history and artstudy, combined with a large number of image data, the existing text information andimage data is analyzed. The viewpoint that the fish-pattern is one of the most importantdecorative features of porcelain is proposed in this paper. Besides, this paper not onlycarries out a useful supplementary of the comprehensive study of the fish-patterndecorative features in the porcelain， but also gives a beneficial inspiration to thedevelopment and innovation of modern ceramic art creation.
