“Baiyangdian Poetry Group” was a loose poetry tribe, which was born in1960s to1970s(1969~1976). It was based on Baiyangdian, Hebei province, some Beijing EducatedYouths such as Monkey、Genzi、Duoduo were its representive poets, who formed anunderground poetry steam against mainstream poetry in the context of Cultural Revolution inlast century. The name of “Baiyangdian Poetry Group” came from one searching activity heldby shitansuo editorial department(Beijing) last1990s, this name not only defined the researchscope of the poets and their poems of Baiyangdian Poetry Group, but also offered thepossibility of comparision between Baiyangdian Poetry Group and other poery groups.Exploring the historical materials about Baiyangdian Poetry Group contributes to clear thewhole development course of itself, especially the intimate connection with undergroundliterary salon in Beijing, the reading experiences influenced the poets a lot, such as confinedthe basic characteritics of Baiyangdian Poery. Monkey’s nature and simpleness, Genzi’s coldand massiness, Duoduo’s emphasis on language skills, Jianghe’s deep national feelings,Linmang’s persisitent asking about youth and so on, Similar family background(higheducated, high ranking official) and similar reading experiences provided their poems thesame modernism featues, however, different personalities and life experiences offered theirpoems different merits. It is very important to figure out “the differences in common” as wellas “the commons in different” for deep researching. Baiyangdian Poery Group can be veiwedas a bridge which had connected Chinese Mondern Poetry produced in “May fouth” andMisty Poetry produced in last1980s, it’s one organic component of Chinese Mondern Poetry.Reananlysis of Baiyangdian Poetry Gourp denied the conclusion that it has no literary worksin the Cultural Revolution’s10years, restored the aesthetic tradition of poetry.
