As we all know, speaking language is the most basic, the most direct and the most common form of verbal communication. Therefore in TCSL, especially in its initial stages, the classroom teaching and the compilation of teaching materials of speaking language are play a crucial role in teaching effectiveness, it can even affect the application level of basic Chinese and the basic communication skills of foreign students. This article focuses on analysis the topic of the content and function items in the relevant syllabus, on this basis, investigate and analyze the topic content of three selected textbooks in type proportion, specific content, presentation order and cultural factors. And for the foreign students of the initial stage, we conducted a questionnaire to survey the favorite position of the oral topics, and then, integrate the analysis results, we give the personal reflections and recommendations on selection and preparation of the topic content in primary spoken language textbooks. Attempt by these research, we hope these studies can play a certain role to promote the teaching materials preparation in primary spoken language textbooks.This article is divided into six parts. Mainly focused on the theoretical study of the syllabus, combination of three textbooks and the analysis results of the questionnaire, put forward thinking views and improvement suggestions, composite investigate a number of theoretical issues and practical problems of preparation of teaching materials in primary spoken language textbooks for foreign learners.The first part is the introduction, to introduce the topics of reason, significance, research overview, problems and scope of the study, objects, ideas and methods, review and describes the relationship of the spoken language textbooks and topics, and the situation on topic classification materials research, analysis that in primary oral of TCSL, the examination of topic selection is not enough in-depth and comprehensive, it is still worthy of further study.The second part is to conduct investigations on oral topics and content (functional items) of three syllabuses (standard). Generally investigated the topic content of the "International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education", the function items of the "College Foreign Students’Chinese Language Syllabus (long-term studies)" and the relevant requirements of the "Chinese Language Proficiency Scales For Speakers of Other Languages", combed the guidance and requirements of such outline for the learner to master the Chinese language topic content (functional items).The third part is to select three primary spoken Chinese textbooks and then analysis the topic selection and writing of these three textbooks. These three spoken Chinese textbooks are:"Spoken Chinese Course (BLCU) Junior A" up and down the book,"The development of Chinese:Elementary Spoken Chinese (BLCU)" up and down the book,"Experiencing Chinese:Spoken Course (Higher Education Press)"of1st,2nd,3rd books. The paper have compared the spoken topic types, study the type of different topic, specific topic projects, the order of topic arrangement and the topic duplication, and combined with the analysis and inspection on the topic of cultural factors, sum up some of the issues on the primary oral selected textbook topic.The fourth part is the oral topic investigation for the primary foreign students in this university. Through the questionnaires, we want to know the Chinese topics that the foreign students most want to grasp and understand, as well as, with the different regions and the different gender, which kinds of topics are the students the most favorite topics. In questionnaire, check the topic is the main way to choose, and then survey data would be added up and analyzed. Analyze the survey results to master the basic love on oral topics of the students, with the different student categories, we can have the different topics choose conclusions.The fifth part is based on the above analysis, on the issue of primary topic selection in elementary spoken Chinese textbooks for foreign learners, the paper pointing out some thoughts about the selection in elementary spoken Chinese textbooks for foreign learners:1.some topics are obsolete;2.the topic of Chinese and Western contrast relatively less;3.the topic that students interested in are less;4.still have some repeated topics;5.cultural selected factors is arbitrary. At the same time, the paper has proposed a few topic selected suggestions for improvement:1.useful and interesting topics;2."small" but "hot" topic;3. the topics of the times;4.reasonable arrangement of the topics;5. to improve formulaic conversational language;6.focus on the selection of cultural projects.The sixth part is to summed up research results of the whole text, summarized the main content, while pointed out the things need to be improved and put forward the ides of further research.
