The Compiling And Research About The State Of Song’s Historical Data From Western Zhou To Spring And Autumn Period

The state of Song was a vassal state with surname Zi which was built after eliminated by Zhou Dynasty.lt occupied a pivotal position in the Zhou Dynasty.The history of the state of Song is an important part of pre-Qin.However,systematic and comprehensive research of the history of the Song state is rare in academia because of the long-age and lack of. historical data and other factors.This article collects, classifies and summarizes the historical data of the Song state from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period,then,it analysis preliminarily and research simply in order to restore the real historical facts and lay a foundation of studying the history of the Song state in-depth and systematically. This article takes a annalistic style, makes the Kings of the Song state be the main line and compiles in accordance with the chronological order. The whole article is divided into three chapters(30sections in all).The first chapter is about the compiling and research on the historical materials of the Song state in the Western Zhou Dynasty.This chapter focuses on the situation of the state of Song in the Western Zhou Dynasty, including the establishment of the Song State, the founder of Song Dynasty (Weizi) and the historical conditions of Song State from Weizhong to Duke Dai of Song period. The Song state is a vassal state with surname Zi which is built after Zhou Dynasty defeats Shang Dynasty. Weiziqi is the first ancestor. As the adherents of the Shang,the relationship between Song and Zhou royal court is anfractuous in the early years, which Royal Clan and nobles should be obey the rule of Zhou while Zhou should use the social influence of them to maintain its rule on the Song. The intercourse between them became much more closely. On the early time of defeatting Yin, the rulers of Zhou take the policies to the Shang adherents by dividing and controling to weaken them. This is the establishment and initial development period of Song State.The second chapter is about the compiling and research on the historical materials of the Song state in the early Spring and Autumn period. Early spring and Autumn period is an important period of the development of Chinese history, many vassal states have set up and disputes have been continuing.Because of the special geographical position,Song plays an important role among the governors in the period.During the period from Duke Dai of Song to Duke Huan, the state Song has a strong influence in foreign policy by building alliances with different states, but the domestic political turmoil, civil unrest continued, the nations fight for power and money, mutual conflict,which has a great influence in the development of the history of state Song.In the period of Duke Xiang of Song,the state Song participates in the alliance among the sates actively,and contests with state Qi,Chu for hegempny.The problems whether the hegemony wiould succed and the evaluationg of him will be talked about.The third chapter is about the compiling and research on the historical materials of the Song state in the late Spring and Autumn period.This section mainly introduces the forces of Song gradually declined and its influence has become from strong to weak.So it maintained its position mainly rely on ally with the great powers after the period of Duke Xiang of Song. Cheng public time, The state Song was attached to other countries in the period of Duke Cheng Zhao Wen Gong.Duke Cheng of Song ascended the throne following Duke Xiang of Song.He repaired the relationship between the state Song and Chu.However,it attached to the state of Jin soonb because of the increasing power of Jin. The Duke Cheng Zhao Wen Gong of Song participated in the activities of the vassal states of the Union. Alliance was still an important part of the history in this period. The state of Chu and Jin shared the hegemony in the Duke Ping Yuan Jing of Song period.Two stop fighting meetings were held under the auspices of Hua Yuan and Xiang Xu.
