A Research On Sports Action Photography Aesthetics Of The Beijing Olympic Games

The Beijing Olympic Games draw great attention of media all over the world, and the media dash to report it with diverse ways. The method of sports photography plays an important role in Beijing Olympic Games reporting, which makes up the disadvantage of print and live reporting. Among them, sports action photography can record the whole motion of athletes during the games.This paper is about the aesthetics in sports action photography, which selected the excellent pictures of Beijing Olympic Games by the Xinhua News Agency, Chlna Online, the AFP and GETTY images. Using the methods of Expert interview, literature and contents analysis, based on the classification of sports events, with the help of the theories of sports photography, aesthetics in pictures, aesthetics in sports and athletic training, this paper talked about the action points, manifestation mode and reflection of aesthetics of the pictures in the games, with the purpose that it can draw a conclusion about sports picture.Through the studies, it can be found that the sports photography consists of the ways of lens, shutter, position&angels and focusing. The basic developing trends are that using various kinds of complex methods and perspective. According to the classification of arrangement, it shows that the means of expression are different from each other of different kind’s sports events, and the expressions of aesthetics can differ of technical arrangements.
