The Wizard Of Green Fields is a voluminous chapter fiction created by Li Baichuan inQing Dynasty of ancient China. The fiction covers plenty of historical facts. Though there aremany researches on this book, the researching on the relationship of the fiction and thehistorical facts is rare. In this thesis, in order to further the understanding of the fiction’sideology and structure, we make a comparison between the fiction and the historical facts inJiaJing Empire Dynasty.What’s more, it benefits in evaluating the importance of the fiction.The thesis covers four chapters. The first chapter is studies review of The wizard of greenfields consists of nine parts.In this chapter, it mainly discusses about the present researchingson the ancestral home of the writer, version, subject matter, ideology,structure,figures,observers,evaluations and the others on the book The wizard of green fields.The second chapter is about Jia Jing Emperor respecting mysteriousness and Taoism. Wediscuss this chapter mainly based on the actions of Jiajing Emperor written in The wizard ofgreen fields. It consists of3parts including Jia Jing Emperor respecting Taoism poems,putting the local distinguished personalities in important positions, and is fond of auspicioussighs. The third chapter is discussing on Yan Song grabbing power in which Li Baichuan paymore attention to writing.This part describes the fighting between the loyal and thetraitor.Firstly, the traitor trapped the loyal; Then, the loyal win the fighting with the traitor; Atlast, the traitor contest with each other to gain the trust from Jia Jing Emperor. The fourth partis about the pirates invading the boundaries. The chapter consists of three stories:Thegoverner,Zhao Wenhua, fights against the pirates; Hu Zongxian have secret communicationwith the pirates;and Zhang Jing is killed wrongly.In this chapter, we can conclude that it is anecessity for Li Baichuan bringing historical facts in Ming Dynasty into the book The wizardof green fields.This novel includes three major aspects: the magic, the world situation, and the history.Thus academia did not form a consistent point of view on weather this novel is a ghost story,worldly novel, historical novels or mixed type of novel. Based on the interpretation of thehistorical content in it,the writer tend to think that the wizard of green fields is a ghost story.And in the last part of the thesis, the writer also speculats the reasons why Li refered to a largenumber of historical facts to create this novel. After all, at present the academia still has some blank fields on the research of this novel,and there is no specialized research over the relationship between this novel and the historicalfacts of the Ming Dynasty. In order to reveal out the influence of Ming Dynasty historicalfacts on the creation of this novel, in this paper the writer makes a comparative study on therelationship of the two.
