With the progress of the times of social development, together with the principle of thedictionary, the pronunciation of Chinese characters has changed since the20th century.Thedictionary is an important tool for the standardization of Chinese character pronunciation, sothe article study and analyze the pronunciation changes of commonly used thousand wordsfrom the perspectives of Chinese pronuciation.The dictionaries we selected are "country sound commonly used word exchange","Mandarin Dictionary","Xinhua Dictionary""Modern Chinese Dictionary ", they are all havean important impact since the20th century.We select the most commonly used1000wordfrom " Statistics of Modern Chinese commonly used words" in1988. Then statistic andanalyze the pronunciation of the1000words in the four dictionaries and sort the words thathave changed. Then compare the words from the number of pronunciation and Syllable ofcommonly used words, summed up the law of the words that have changes in characters inorder to analyze the reasons of the changes. which further regulate the Chinese pronunciation,and to provide a reference value to the Chinese pronunciation dictionary included theprinciple.This article is divided into three parts: introduction, body, and conclusion. The exordiumincludes the object and meaning of this paper, the way of analyzing, the current situation ofthe academic research on the pronunciation of Chinese characters and the explanation of theway that how we establish the corpus shows.The body of the article is divided into three chapters; the first two chapters comparativelyanalyze the pronunciation changes of the commonly used words from four perspectives: thenumber of scale, the number of multi-tone pronunciation of the word, syllable pronunciationchange characters. The second chapter wholly statistic and analyze the pronunciation of thecommonly used1000words which were selected from the Country Second CommonVocabulary, Mandarin Dictionary,1978edition, Modern Chinese Dictionary2005version.Chapter three selected Xinhua Dictionary and Modern Chinese Dictionary according to “Thereview or words”, the two dictionaries all have important impact after the liberation of China.Conclusion mainly summarizes the first few chapters, from the summary we can see theproportion of the words which pronunciation had changed. We can also kwon whether thewords which pronunciations had changed are mostly more than one pronunciation words. Thispart also makes an analysis the number of multi-tone pronunciation words. At the same time,the article provided some reference for us to standard the pronunciation of Chinese characters.
