The Influence Of Lin Yutane’s Personality Psvchology On His Novels Creation

Anciently, when we researched Lin-Yutang, we always looked on him from cultural view, and mostly attention that his novels creation affected on his cultural view. We often ignore that Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology which is how to impact on his novels creation which it based on literary psychology. If Lin-Yutang’s cultural view influence of times, historicity and creativity in his novels, Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology has important influence of theme Choice, subject choosing, characterization, artistic conception and aesthetic style, and even deciding to Lin-Yutang’s novelistic ideological connotation and artistic individuality. This paper tries to define Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology through the theory and method of literary psychology, and then discussing versatility and deep-seated influence from his novels affected on his individuality. This paper is not only trying to enter into Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology through his novelistic words, but also understanding his intendment that it is included by his novels. And then it will close to Lin-Yutang’s reality and dig a new level about Lin-Yutang’s researches.This thesis falls into three parts. Firstly, it makes Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology through the theory and method of literary psychology, and then analyzing Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology through innate physiological and acquired genetic factors. The second, it analyzes Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology which is how to impact on his novels through theme Choice, subject choosing, characterization, artistic conception and aesthetic style. The third, it analyzes Lin-Yutang’s personality psychology which is how to influence of his novels through personality and Life consciousness. The last part is conclusion. It summarizes my sentiment that it from the process of Lin-Yutang’s research, and then pointing out it has long term and great significance basis on literary psychology.
