The concept of Chinese pattern is very broad, which is derived from the natural world in any form, there are not only different categories such as ancient pattern, folk patterns, religious patterns, and Royal Palace patterns, but also various artistic expressions like painting, architecture, sculpture, folk art patterns in ancient germination and modern development. Although the environment, regions and kinds of them are very different, the means of Artistic expression are extremely colorful and dazzling. Chinese pattern is a unity of materials and spirit, which integrates the habit of Chinese people, national education, aesthetic sentiment, ideological indoctrination, and has experienced a long history of the historical accumulation and cultural baptism, it is so called complicated, extensive and profound. Our country carries thousands of years of Historical and cultural base, patterns inherit strong traditional culture and national beliefs, and it is an important component of the historical development of China and an outstanding cultural heritage. It exists a kind of beauty in nature somewhere-the beauty of "symmetry and equilibrium ". Such as Sky and Earth, East and West, North and South, up and down, left and right......The symmetrical distribution on leaves, balanced gain on the wings of butterfly, symmetrical distribution on antenna of insects, the balance of petal in full bloom. It is not doubt to find the various shape of symmetry and equilibrium in human life, which has both affected our life and enriched the social diversity, Beijing’s ancient buildings use the Forbidden City as the axis, to form the standard symmetry:the Temple of Heaven, the Temple of Earth, the Altar to the Sun, the Altar to the Moon, Dongdan, Xidan...... It is just this symmetry that forms the artistic beauty and still exists in modern society withstanding the baptism of history. Why" symmetry" and "balanced" pattern art can be distributed in every aspect of our lives around, decorating the rapid development of the new era with its ancient art form? This is a problem that we need to explore.
