Guided by realistic aesthetic principles, this paper uses theoretical achievements in many fields for reference, such as architecture, painting, literature and so on. It integrates the excellent cases of interior design both at home and overseas and the author's teaching and project desienin practices and systematically analyses the key role that the Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle of the Form Aesthetics Principles plays in the manifestation of the aesthetic feeling in the interior design. It furthermore summarizes the practice of the Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle in interim space, in order to have some active impact on both the theoretical and practical construction of the contemporary interior design in our country.The paper has altogether five chapters. The first chapter of this thesis discusses the structure and property by starting with the concept of aesthetics, with the purpose of introducing the relations between ' Symmetry and Equilibrium Discipline' and form aesthetics. The second and third chapters describe the outer phenomena and introduce ' Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle in interior space from various aspects. The fourth chapter tries to seek the application principle of the ' Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle' in interior design, through the following three aspects: the description of apperception; the embodiment of feelings and the manifestation of artistic conception. Through the analysis of the representing cases, this chapter further sets forth the practicality of the ' Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle, then puts forward the author's own ideas in solving problems in art design. The last chapter analyses the influence of modern aesthetic standards on the concept of ' Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle', with the purpose of viewing the whole issue from a higher level and add some theoretical depth to the research.This paper carries out its research on interior design only from one perspective. Due to limited time and ability, careless omissions are inevitable. The author hopes that this article may lay out the foundation for later research .The Symmetry and Equilibrium Principle in Interior Design covers about 38,000 words with 150 illustrations.
