A Discussion Of The Intertextuality Of Sound

This paper will introduce "intertextuality"—one of the Western Modern Literature theories, as the methodology applied to musical aesthetics research, attempting to solve three academic problems:Firstly, intertextual relationship between sound and sound materials, and the process of metaphor realization; Secondly, formation mechanism of intertextual relationship of sound style’s; Thirdly, realization of subject during the process of sound heterogeneous medium conversion.Therefore, during the whole research process, this paper utilizes research pattern as follows: extends three types of intertexts, which is substantial intertext, collective intertext and spacial conversion intertext, being defined and extended to musical aesthetics studies by author, forming concrete and deep study on triple intertextual relationship of sound substantiality, sound collectivization and sound spacial conversion. Thus, this paper will elaborate in three aspects as follows:1. Intertextuality—Analysis on methodology in musical aesthetics studies. Try to discuss the effectivity of introducing musical aesthetics studies by a series of thorough connotation analysis of text and intertext, which is the premise of confirming the reliability of methodology in concrete application.2. Intertextuality of sound intertext. As intertextuality is a type of textual theory, the initial studies on intertextual relationship of concrete sound should base on intertextual relationship of sound intertext naturally. In this part, this paper focuses on intertextual phenomenon of substantial sound intertext and collective sound intertext. Then make investigation on possibility of metaphor realization of sound and formation mechanism of sound.3. Intertextuality of subject. As the intertextual relationship between text and subject, studies on intertextuality of sound includes studies of intertextual relationship of texts, and also the subject. For subject are the internal motives of sound text forming intertextual relationship. The heterogeneous medium conversion of sound intertext is based on conversion of subject and finally being realized. Therefore, in terms of overall intertextuality of sound, the function of subject in heterogeneous medium conversion of sound could not be neglected.From what has been discussed above, this paper answers three questions:Firstly, metaphor realization between sound and sound materials is possible. The formation mechanism of sound style is based on intertexual relationship and forms the characteristics of sound as "double signification of contexts of patterns ". By means of heterogeneous medium conversion of sound, subject forms the relationship of dialogue with subject, and then presents characteristics of "double signification of implication " and " double signification of subject ". Finally, this paper makes the conclusion:sound exists by the means of "inter-sound " and presents the meaning of sound between metaphysics and physics.In addition, there are three important terminologies in this paper, explanations are as follows:1. Double signification of sound:Sound is not only includes itself, but also the connotations provided by subject and environments. According to different properties, this paper considers double-sound contains:"double signification of contexts of patterns","double signification of implication" and "double signification of subject".2. Inter-sound:Sound is composed of numerous sound, and mutually referred by factors like sound, subject, non-art of sound and social historical cultures.3.the meaning of sound between metaphysics and physics:The significance of sound presents around the intertextual relationship of sound, non-art of sound and social historical cultures by subject together.
