Good communication in a second language is one of the fundamental requirements for most students in a modern world. There are four important skills of learning foreign languages which are Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. Listening and speaking skills are most frequently used in daily communications, meanwhile reading and writing ability would play supportive roles for other two skills. It has been widely considered that one of the reasonable reasons of learning another language is for contacting or communicating between participants, therefore listening and speaking skills are necessary indicators for making good judgment on how well students manage foreign languages. Regarding to Vietnamese students’circumstances, most of them are not good at these two skills, the key reason of this would be because they use Chinese as a standard language to study instead of practicing foreign languages.I would like to suggest some recommendations on how to carry out specific Chinese teaching methods. I also expect that this research can contribute to help Vietnamese students to study Chinese effectively and efficiently, to improve their presentation skills in Chinese, and take some good ideas for the chinese teaching methods and textbook compilation of chinese speaking and listening in Vietnam.This research divided into four chapters:The first chapter introduces the meaning and purpose of this study scope of the study, ideas and so on. In addition a brief introduction to research methods used in this article and corpus resources and research.The second chapter is to introduce the listening and speaking of theoretical, teaching principles, teaching important and difficult points. It also introduce analysis of Vietnamse domestic and abroad research actualities, analyse Vietnamese students’ characteristics, their learning disabilities with its causes.The third chapter based on questionnaires and interviews analyze the Vietnamese students’actualities in Chinese listening and speaking on four sides, such as: teachers, students, teaching materials and teachings methods.The fourth chapter is some recommendations on how to carry out specific Chinese teaching methods for Vietnamese students of elementary Chinese in listening and speaking teaching.The last part is the conclusion. I summarized what the issues had discussed, illustrated the research value and potential of innovation, the exitsing deficiencies, and I expect there’ll be much better researches in the long-term.
