The Research Of The Format "Zai X Buguo"

In the course of teaching Chinese as second language, wefound that the format of “Zai X Buguo” was a difficult point for theoverseas studengts who learn Chinese. The former worthies have left ussome meaningful research results about the “Buguo” which is used afterthe adjectival words. Whatever, the research results were not sufficientin some aspects, so we expected to continue to research and analysethe format of “Zai X Buguo”, from the standpoint of the the constructiontheory, and on the basis of the former research results. We wish to makesome meaningful supplement to this research task.This paper not only made detailed analysis about the internalstructure of the format from the synchronic perspective, but alsoexplored and studied the process of grammaticalization from thediachronic perspective. Firstly, we made a identification for “Zai XBuguo”, then we analysed the semanteme of the format, and studiedits grammatical functions. After that, we made detailed analysis of thestructural components respectively, studied the grammaticalizationprocess of “Buguo”. At last, we made comparative analysis between“Zai X Buguo” and the relevant format. Our paper has five chapters, thefollowing are the brief introductions of the content of each chapter.At the beginning of the paper,we state the preliminary remarks.We mainly state the significance of choosing this thesis, and introducethe research results of the former worthies, find the deficiency, and then try to work out the main contents of the research, and determine thetheories, methods, and the corpus resources for the research.The first chapter is an overall outline on the format “Zai XBuguo”. In this chapter, we firstly made an identification for theformat,then made detailed analysis of the semanteme, after that, weresearched the grammatical function of the format, at last, we studiedseveral special types of the format which we found in the corpus.The second chapter is about one of the components “Zai”,“X”and “Buguo”. For “Zai”, we firstly studied its property and usage, thenwe analysed the three semantic features (express state’s repeating;express state’s lasting; express further degree). At last, we studied thepragmatic presupposition of “Zai” from the standpoint of the wholeformat; For “X”, we made a detailed description and analysis of “X” inthe aspects of syllable, nature and the emotional coloring; For “Buguo”,we stated the five usages and meanings of “Buguo”.The third chapter is about the grammaticalization processof”Buguo”. In order to make a better research for the whole format “ZaiX Buguo”, we studied the grammaticalization process of”Buguo”, andtry to make it clear. In addition, we paid much attention on thedevelopment of “Buguo3”.The forth chapter is about the comparative analysis of “Zai XBuguo” and the relevant format. In this chapter, we compared the twoformats:“Zai X Buguo” and “X de Buneng Zai X” in the respects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics theories.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. In this chapter, we stated themain viewpoints and conclusions of this paper, put forward the possibleinnovations, at last, we summarized the deficiencies of the paper andthe problems we need to solve for further study.
