Tsunzi is the important representative of the pre-qin Confucianism. However, the status of Tsunzi in Confucianism is after several ups and downs; the theory of the evaluation is also mixed. In order to interpret the philosophy of Tsunzi,"heart" is a concept that can not be skipped. But now, the academic interpretation of Tsunzi’s heart often focus on the epistemological point of view, or focus on angle what opposed to the theory following the orthodox Confucianism inwardness theory; And lacking a more thorough investigation and analysis. So this paper tries to carry out a more systematic and in-depth study from the following four aspects of Tsunzi’s heart theory. The first part, discussing the connotation of Tsunzi’s heart. The heart of Tsunzi has fine connotations:material heart, lust heart, cognitive heart, moral heart and dominate heart The five levels is a whole, connecting by the lust heart. One word to sea, the heart is a cognitive subject with good deeds tendency.The second part, the function of heart in Tsunzi philosophy. The heart is the foundation of Tsunzi philosophy lies. What reflected in the relationship of the heart and other major theories.First, heart and body.The heart is the master of the individual person. It is the prince of the form and the Lord of the gods.Second, heart and things. Men and things are different, as People have cognitive ability but things can only be cognitive.Third, heart and heaven. Tsunzi thought "the heaven creates it and man value it". The heart is born to heaven and earth, it also is the key to man value. So heart is the connection between nature and man, and it is the hub of "the heaven creates it and man value it".Fourth, heart and Tao. People can know the objective laws of natural operation heaven and earth. Propriety and righteousness as the main content of the humanitarian is rooted in the heart of the "identified. The foundation of the humanitarian is heart, so the heart is should be together in the Tao.Fifth, heart and human nature. Human nature and acquired ceremony and meaning unity in heart. Tsunzi speak human nature in the meaning of the lust, is a physical and psychological instinct. Human nature is not inherent evil, but have the possibility of evil. The acquired ceremony and meaning is the product of transforming human nature by heart. As the good deeds tendency guide thought, choice ritual system.Sixth, heart and rites. Courtesy is formulated by the saints. Because the saint realized that down the human nature development would create chaos and natural law. Through the heart of thought, finding a method of avoid the chaos:making ritual. Saints can choose ritual as the heart is a cognitive subject with good deeds tendency. This cognitive subject can choose goodness.Seventh, heart and music. Music is also formulated by the saints. Saint realized the harm of the natural vent along the person’s mood, and sort out the situation of expression by the heart. Dissolve the unreasonable expression and carry forward the reasonable expression.Eighth, heart and gentlemen. Taint change innate human nature then rise the moral acquired, and formulate ritual and music. And to become a saint, needing a process to accumulate propriety and righteousness. This process is to learn etiquette, cultivate one’s morality and yang xin. Making the good tendency sends out outside, changing innate human nature then rising the moral acquired, then making owns words and deeds are suitable for ritual. And realize the ritual and music are conform to the heart. The heart eventually get the "big qingming" stateThe third part, the methods to keeping the heart. The methods to keeping the heart in Tsunzi philosophy mainly have three way:Change heart through the rite and music; Virtual one and static; keeping heart by honesty. Is to get through putting your mind to following righteousness, making the heart can cognitive and practice righteousness reality. Finally reached a "big qingming" position.The fourth part, the position of the heart in Tsunzi philosophy."Heart" is the theoretical basis and foundation stone of Tsunzi philosophy. Finally, Tsunzi put the objective laws of heaven and earth and nature as the good to the heart. So that the heart’s subject position can be established and Tsunzi philosophy system established its rationality. And thus, Tsunzi philosophy shows an objectivity characteristic.
