Research On Poetesses In Yu Tai Xin Yong

Northern and Southern Dynasties are recognized as the most painful and disordered time in Chinese history. However, it is also a time of intelligence, enthusiasm and artistic spirits. In this day and age, there has been a great poetry collection——Yu Tai Xin Yong. According to statistics, it contains about660poems since Han Dynasty to Liang. It is the first collection to be selected by a predetermined theme in China.In ancient China, Yu Tai Xin Yong is very special in colletions of poems. Generally it is recognized as collection of Gongti poems, especially of amorous poems. Hence it is usually treated as the Gongti poems being treated. In the past, People always focused on its frivolous poems, thus for Yu Tai Xin Yong they have had two different kinds of prejudice. One is to love its frivolous poems then to enjoy it, the other is to denounce it as pornography then to negate it. However, despite of a few obscene poems, the rest part, most of the poems in Yu Tai Xin Yong are pure and healthy. Besides, Yu Tai Xin Yong is not just a collection for males to meet their sensory stimulations. It also contains a group of poetesses with known name, whose poems are counted to more than40pieces. When it comes to this point, there is no precedent in ancient Chinese collections of poems.This paper will make research on these poetesses and their poems. This paper will make out their literary achievements and literary influence. Also, through the connection with the social reality and literary background of that time, this paper will dig into the living conditions and creation states of these poetesses. They will also be compared with the male poets to find out the different between the two genders. This will also be a new direction to research on Yu Tai Xin Yong.The paper is divided into introduction, body of four chapters and conclusion. Introduction will show the status of research on poetess, pointing to the significance and necessity of the topics, and the expected research results. Chapter One will define the female characteristics of Yu Tai Xin Yong then show its reasons. Chapter One will also explore the relationship between Yu Tai Xin Yong and the its poetesses, including its contribution to the development of female literature and its defect.Chapter Two, combined with literature research, will make a systematic textual research and reorganization for these poetesses’ poets and lives. This is the work should be done before the research afterwards.Chapter There, with divide these poets according to the different tendency of feelings. Three parts will be divided:sadness, joy and neutral feelings. This chapter will make analysis on their artistic, cultural and soclal significance.Chapter Four is meant to focus on poetesses of Yu Tai Xin Yong in a patriarchal society,and the formation of a unique creative style, such as the dependence, the lack of social features, the lower lever for creation and the the special style in which they are judged.The conclusion outlines the correct view for the female poets of Yu Tai Xin Yong and show the defect of the paper.
