Comparative Study On Marriage Words Of The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary Edition78and05

Marriage is an important phenomenon related to the society and history, containing rich cultural implication. From the change of marriage words, we can see the development of modern Chinese vocabulary all these years, and explore how the social development influences on the vocabulary system, and then see the change of social culture and custom. At the same time, we can further enhance the study on the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, coming to see what the dictionary do to improve its scientific and normative, looking for the gain and loss in the revision.Marriage words in this thesis refer to the words about Marriage process, the appellation, marriage view, marriage system, marriage custom and so on.We selected the marriage words in edition78and05as the research object, using statistics to find all the related words. Then do our comparative study on marriage words and its’ paraphrase with the method of combining the description and analysis. Meanwhile, we also gave necessary appraisal during the research, and point out the gain and loss for others’reference.The article has five departments. The first part is the introduction, including the definition of the marriage words and research content, methods, significance and the present research. The second part mainly does the comparison and analysis of the quantity changing between two editions. The third part mainly does the comparison and analysis of the color-marking changing.The forth part focus on the change of the interpretation between two editions, including the number of the semantic item and the adjustment of the content.The fifth part is the conclusion, summarizing the current status, achievements and deficiency in the field of marriage words. and emphatically discussed some individual articles.
