In the last century,with the abundance of knowledge and the deepening of cognition,all countries in the world made great efforts to protect their heritage. Intangible culturalheritage is an important part of cultural heritage which embodies the national wisdomand human spirit. It is the precious memory of the world traditional culture. To humansurvival and the development, intangible cultural heritage has a unique value. Culturaldiversity is the basic guarantee to the sustainable development of humansociety.Intangible cultural heritage is the vivid reflection of the world cultural diversityand the representation of human creativity and the important guarantee of humansociety sustainable development. The protection of the intangible cultural heritage is toguarantee the cultural diversity of the human being. Chinese intangible cultural heritageis an important part of Chinese humanistic culture, which bears the essence of theChinese nation traditional culture. The Chinese people always have the fine traditionto protect the intangible cultural heritage,which dated from ancient China "book ofsongs". Its collection and sorting inherited to the collection and protection of the20thcentury nation, folk and folk culture. Nowadays, our research about intangible culturalheritage has in the substantial protection stage. Traditional craftsmanship is not only theimportant part of intangible cultural heritage but also a crucial component of Chinesetraditional culture. The protection of the traditional craftsmanship is a vitalrepresentation to cultural transmission. The each remains of the traditionalcraftsmanship accumulates long aging mark and records amazing national aesthetic.Cherishing folk art is also a kind of respect of history. As the human change of themodern way of life, many handicrafts that we are very familiar have alreadydisappeared; however, these disappeared handicrafts are containing the beginning of the technology culture of human civilization. Jieshou painted pottery has an importantposition in the development of the painted pottery in the Chinese history. It not onlyinherits from the glazing color of the tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty, butalso digests and forms unique artistic style. Basing on field survey and analysis onJieshou painted pottery about making technique, exploring the inheritancepedigree,pointing out the survival conditions and the existing problems and puttingforward the corresponding countermeasure.There are three parts in the thesis.Chapter I: introduction. The content includes the academic significance of this topic; theimportance significance of inheritance and protection of traditional skills, the basic lineand the steps and methods of this study. Exploring the origins of pottery and researchingreview questions. The studies choose the Jieshou painted pottery as a case. Through thesystemic field survey, data collection and sorting, this part discusses the happening andinheritance of crafts class as a kind of intangible cultural heritage and points out thesurvival conditions and the existing problems.Chapter II: This part mainly discusses the manufacturing technology of Jieshou paintedpottery. First of all, this chapter collects and makes some information, including theancient kiln of painted pottery whose geographical position, history distribution, folkcustoms and so on. Secondly, it combs the evolution of adornment gimmick andintroduces painted pottery whose origin, development, evolution, current situation andspecific steps.Chapter III: Firstly, this chapter analyses the overall art features, the inheritance andevolution of making skill and the current survival conditions. Secondly, it explores the inheritance pedigree and discusses some relevance theories, guard methods about thecrafts class and the relationship between the local economic developments. Finally, itpoints out the current survival conditions and the existing problems in the heritage anddevelopment process such as the inheritors, living environment, raw materials, thedevelopment path etc. and puts forward the corresponding suggestions.
