A Phonetic Study Of Dialect In Changsha County,Hunan Province

This paper investigets the historical development and the internal differences in Changsha County.We thorough analysze the development of Zhi-Zhuang-Zhang group read and the consonant rhythm end,the change of four tones,as well as new features of some sounds. We got phonetic details by some field work in five towns of Changsha County. On the base of that, we made summarize of phonetic feature in Changsha County, and made synchronic comparison and diachronic comparison of some important sounds.Then we analyze the origin of these sounds and the cause of the differences,by using linguistic methods references and neighboring dialect.From above analysis,we will search for the law and the trend of phonetic development.The article contains six chapters.In the first chaper, we introduce the historical situation of Changsha County by exaiming the geographical, sociological and environmental impacts. We also describe phonetic systerm of Changsha County,and researching contant,methods as well as origin of meterail.In the chapter two, the main describe is the development of Zhi-Zhuang-Zhang group read. We analyze the feature and the rules by using references and making comparison with neibhoring dailcets. Chapter three is to search for the evolution of consonant rhythm-end. In Chapter four,we investigate four tones,particulary focusing on the development of entering tone words and falling tone words.We briefly discuss new features of some sounds in the fifth Chapter.In the final Chapter, we summarize the developemt,differnces and rules of dialect in Changsha County. We also got some new ideas on the trend of phonetic development.
