Luodai of Changsha county,Hunan Province is on the north-east of Changsha county and it is next to Shegang town,Longfu town of Liuyang city,and Wengjiang town,Sanyang town of Pingjiang county.Because of its special loction,Luodai dialect is complicated but characteristic.However,the dialect research on Luodai is limited.In order to enrich Changsha county dialect research and the research on how to contact between border dialects,we describe an account of the phonetic system,analyse literary reading and colloquial reading,compare Luodai dialect with Huanghua town dialect which is the representative of Changsha county dialect,and Pingjiang dialect and North of Liuyang dialect after time in the field.The full thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter shows us the geography,the history,the population,the condition of language uses of Changsha county briefly.It introduces the location and dialect usage of Luodai,the present studies on the Changsha county dialects and the emphasis and the main purpose of the research.The second chapter describes an account of the phonetic system,the features of initial consonant,compound vowel and tone of Luodai dialect.The third chapter describes and analyses literary reading and colloquial reading and the layers of literary reading and colloquial reading on some characters.The fourth chapter cleans up the syllabary of Luodai dialect.The fifth chapter compares Luodai dialect with the surrounding dialects such as Changsha county dialect,Pingjiang dialect and North of Liuyang dialect from three aspects,including initial consonant,compound vowel,and tone.It also discusses the dialect system of Luodai dialect.The six chapter is Conclusion that forecasts the development trend of local dialect speech and points out the innovation and shortcomings of this thesis.
