The Wei and Jin Dynasties filial piety presents many peculiarity, at this time thescholars’ thought of filial piety is of the most wonderful show, in which the oppositionand fusion between the emotions and politeness of filial piety is the most significant. With the Confucianism difficult to implement at the end of the Han Dynasty and "TheRule of Law " carry out in the early of Wei Dynasty, traditional filial piety at the livingspace is narrow, while the pioneers which believed in the confluence of theConfucianist and Taoism tended to demonstrate the significance of the filial piety. They tried to restore some of the core connotation of Filial Piety----the emotion offilial piety, the emotional significance of which had been neglected and alienated in theHan Dynasty. During the ages of "Zhengshi" scholars put forward formally " theConfucian ethical " is "nature" Xuanxue proposition, the affective significance of filialpiety was also clear up, such as He Yan and Wang Bi explains the emotionalimportance of filial piety respectively."Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" lived inthe ages which Cao Wei Group and SiMa group in fierce struggle, folks of that timecriticized the hypocrisy of diocesan, and this inevitably affect their thoughts of filialpiety, so they were vehemently opposed to it. Such as Ruan Ji and Wang Rong, theytake practical action to authenticate that emotion of filial piety is prior to that of theceremony for which is so hypocrisy. In early Western Jin Dynasty, in order to stabilizethe reigning order and to promote Confucianism working as family root, SiMa grouprepeatedly disregarded the previous institution of short mourning period and insistedon a three-year mourning period, calling on all under Heaven giving their allegiance. In fact, this action was truly supported by many scholars of morality and politeness, but it did not prevent the scholars from paying more and more attention to emotions offilial piety. In late Western Jin Dynasty, based on the theory of DuHua,Guoxiang, thegreat master of Xuanxue, said that emotions and politeness of filial piety ran paralleland that both were reasonable. However, confirmation of both emotions and politenesscould not close their disparity in reality. The contradiction was reconciled in thepersonality of scholars in Eastern Jin Dynasty who valued both politeness andXuanxue. In the relatively long and comfortable social environment of Eastern JinDynasty, oppositions and contradictions between “the Confucian ethical” and “nature”were weakened gradually. At that time, people proposed fulfilling natural emotions and at the same time respecting the Confucian ethical code to the greatest extent, showingunity of emotions and of politeness of filial piety. All in all, the filial piety.of scholarsin Wei and Jin Dynasties emphasized filial emotions from nature and opposed theshackles of etiquette, showing a tendency that valued nature but opposed ethical code.
