| This article selects the descriptive frequency adverbs "lv","lvlv" and "lvci"as the object of study,employing modern Chinese grammar theories, from synchronic point of view, combining description and explanation, analyzation and comparison, form and meaning, as well as qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to carry out the research. Based on the former researchers’work, the paper accesses the frequency adverbs "lv","lvlv" and "lvci"from the semantics, syntactics, and pragmatics perspectives.The whole thesis consists of four chapters. The specific content is as follows:Chapter One is the preface, introducing about the purpose and significance of this study, research method and the overview of the previous research. Discriminating synonyms in the adverbs of frequency, listing the research statues of the predecessors, the source of the examples is at the end of the chapter.In Chapter Two, interpretations of the frequency adverbs "lv","lvlv" and "lvci"in the dictionaries are grouped and summed up from the semantic aspect. Then according to the time and quantity feature, the chapter deals with the three adverbs of frequency in the semantic angle.Chapter Three, within the syntax section, we mainly describes the frequency adverbs "lv","lvlv" and "lvci" about their word partnerships and coexistence with verbs and dynamic auxiliary like "zhao","liao" and "guo" with study of the frequency adverbs’("lv","lvlv" and "lvci") predicate structural characteristics and position in the sentence.Chapter Four, in the pragmatic part, we investigates how the frequency adverb "lv","lvlv" and "lvci" go with the class, sentence states and style. For the style, we found that they are mainly used in newsletters and literary, mainly used for mass communication and literary arts genre, seldom in spoken language and science and technology,and can not be used for official affairs documents.The last part is the conclusion and summary of this paper with pointing out the deficiencies. |
