With the development of tourism and business activities, the budget hotels which aimed to the ordinary consumers develop quickly. Be one of the famous historical and cultural cities, and be the center of the economy and culture of Hunan province, as well as with the development of the economic strength and tourism, the budget hotels in Changsha meet the optimal opportunity of blossom. However, the developments of budget hotels are still in the exploratory stage in our country, especially in a second-tier city just like Changsha. Their developments inevitably influenced by local economy, humanity and consumption concept, and thus present their regional characteristics. The question which the writer always considered is what kind of interior design is suitable to budget hotel in Changsha, and how to make these budget hotels developed well.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the basic theories of budget hotel and interior design, simply introduces the background and development history of it at home and abroad, and explicitly explains the definition, category and features of it. Secondly, based on the On-the-spot investigation of some typical budget hotels in Changsha, this thesis concludes many kinds of problems of the location, architectural appearance design, public space design, guest room space design, management and service space design and construction work.Thirdly, this thesis gives specific and effective suggestions aimed to solve the existed problems of budget hotels in Changsha. Finally, the writer uses the project of designing Green Mango Budget Hotel as an example to analyze the qualities and key points of interior design and construction of budget hotels in Changsha, hoping to provide reference and suggestions for the designers.
