In recent years, the Chinese budget hotel has been developing rapidly. As theinvestment heat up increasingly, it appeared a large number of budget hotels. Theincreasing market supplies intensified the competition. As the budget hotels spreadfast, the covered or neglected problems on brand operation has appeared increasingly.The problems are mainly about the unclear target market stratification, brandoperation homogeneity, lacking of product innovation, etc. In this situation, budgethotel design plays an important role in the development of brand operation. To discussa new developing direction for Chinese budget hotels, the author chooses aperspective to brand operation to research budget hotel interior design, thus it couldprovide an effective reference for budget hotel operation. The author has analyzed therelations between hotel interior design and brand operation through summarizingbudget hotel concept, characteristics and the existing problems. The survey data helpsto find out the needs of budget hotel customers. Then according to the customers’needs and preferences, it has discussed the application of interior design to variousbrand operation of budget hotel. This paper is composed by five chapters. In chapter1,the author summarizes the concept of budget hotel and brand operation, researchbackground, purpose and significance, and analyses literature summary according tothe previous research results. In chapter2, the author analyses brand operationoverview of budget hotels, and finds out the existing problems, and explains therelationship between hotel design and brand operation. In chapter3, the author makesan analysis of the problems of budget hotel interior design from its space capabilities,hotel styles, and the hotel customers’ needs. In chapter4, the author provides specificapplications to the various budget hotel brand operation in interior design in abovefoundations. In the last chapter, the author makes a summary to the thesis and proposesfurther problems that need to be solved. The author thought, the factors which affectvarious budget hotel brand operation are the positioning of target market, thestandardized hotel business models and the demands of consumers. Therefore interiordesign should highlight its spatial adaptability and diversity spatial configuration, strengthen the different styles with a combination of cost control, and highlight thecomfort of guest room, the rationality of facilities and individual requirements ofconsumers in the various budget hotel brand operation.
