Based on lexical cohesion theory and error analysis, this thesis concerns on lexical cohesion in oversea students’ chinese discourse. Through110pieces of students’text paper which regardless of nationalities and grades, we focus on13kinds of lexical cohesion means:words repetition, synonyms, the third person pronoun, generalizing words, hyponyms, reflexive pronoun, similar words, antonyms, discourse confining, section and whole relationship words, logic relationship words, set relationship words and verbs and agentive or recipient. The error numbers and sub-types which caused by using lexical cohesion means are different, and presented a various spread. There are two reasons. One is students’ study tactic, the other is that teaching programs and materials ignore the error facts and teachers’discource consciousness is weak. Besides, theoretical research is not enough. Students’should improve communicational tactic. Teaching materica writers should concern on students’error facts.Teachers should have a stronger sense of discourse and theoretical research. Various class types should be matched up to diminish the error in discourse.
