The Preliminary Study On Religious Characteristic Of Bruckner’s Symphony

Anton Bruckner(Anton Brucknerl829-1896)is a composer of Austria in the period of Romanticism. This paper select his most representative works about Symphony.Let us focuses on the work of the religious factor, which also reflected in the creation of the composer’s religious ideas. From the personal growth experience and external factors, we analyze the religious ideas during the creation process.This paper works for Anton Bruckner religious ideas in their analysis of the linkages between religious factors and his symphony to try to make more clearly understanding of Anton Bruckner and the better understanding of his music. Bruckner takes religious character into his symphony so perfect that his pure faith is expressed in reality. We should realize the music performance of religious element and spiritual implication in it.This paper has three chapters. At the introductory section, the composer and his work will be simply introduced to the research situation at home and abroad, the select reason, significance and research methods. The second chapter we will analysis the ideological origin of his symphony from the personal growth experience and external factors. The third chapter is the core one in the paper. In this chapter, I will make a research about the religious element and the religious features on the way of analyzing the music’s ontology. At the end of the paper, I will have a conclusion on it to make clear the importance of religious faith in his life and his creation.
