Diplomatic interpretation mainly occurs in events as diplomatic socializing occasions, diplomatic negotiations, news release conferences and press conferences. Due to the fact that these events often concern sensitive issues, spokespersons of Ministry of Foreign Affairs usually evades using definite phrases such as "rejection","objection", etc; they prefer ambiguous words and phrases. What contributes to the fact is that in diplomatic occasions, not all questions and queries can expect a downright answer or appraisal, it is therefore only advisable for diplomats to employ ambiguous expressions for their counterparts to independently figure out the intended purposes of these languages without bringing them to distortion of any sort.We refer to discourse ambiguity in real communicative situations as fuzzy languages. Though we have a lot of scholars dedicated to ambiguous language studies, there is little attention paid to the application of language fuzzy theories, especially in diplomatic interpretation. This paper aims at enriching the study of fuzziness, with fuzzy languages in diplomatic interpretation context as objectives.Based on some detailed research findings of selected fields, this paper analyzes some detailed examples with interdisciplinary research methods, such as correlation method, theoretical research method other research techniques. On the one hand, the paper aims at establishing a theoretical framework for analyzing and processing of vague language in diplomatic interpretation. On the other hand, by analyzing the specific examples in diplomatic interpreting, the paper put forwards some solutions.
