| The thesis collects and analyzes some examples from a number of bilingual meeting minutes of Chinese Foreign Ministry and sorts out the features and classification of fuzzy language in diplomatic interpretation. Based on these studies, two interpreting strategies are provided, which are “fuzziness to fuzziness” and “fuzziness to clearness”. This thesis analyzes the interpretation of Premier Li Keqiang’s speech at the Press Conference in 2015 from the perspective of the application of the two interpreting strategies. Hopefully, through this study, more scholars will dedicate themselves to studying fuzzy language in diplomatic interpretation so as to improve the interpretation quality in the diplomatic activities and contribute to the communication between China and other countries. |
