The Study On The Exercises Of Advanced Chinese Comprehensive Text Books

Exercise is an important component of text books of TCFL, and it is the content of mostclose connected with students besides text in text books. The setup and layout of exercises ofadvanced Chinese comprehensive text books have great significance for the students to learnlanguage knowledge and acquire language skills as one of advanced more important courses.Advanced Chinese course, standard Chinese course (Advanced) and development Chinese-advanced Chinese are more typical text books of TCFL in different periods. Based oneducational psychology, the theory of TCFL and the textbooks compilation theory, we usemethods of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, case analysis and other methods,divide exercises into two categories of language knowledge and speech skills and makedetailed statistics and analysis on exercise volume and style of three text books from theintensity and density of exercises, according to which summarizes characteristic andregularity and analyses the reason of forming these characteristics. Then we propose someviewpoints and suggestion. In the process of investigate of exercises style intensity, we studythe style design of detailed exercise, and summarize the common exercise style and particularexercise style. Moreover, we analyse in depth the advantage, disadvantage and the range ofapplication of these exercise styles. Whether exercise layout is reasonable or not, which is theimportant standard of evaluating exercise design. According to three criterions (the languagelearning pattern, controllability and communicative applying), we make the exploration andanalysis on layout of exercise and propose some reasonable suggestions. We expect toprovide some reference and help for the exercise design of advanced Chinese comprehensivetext books.
