Teaching Material, as one of the four major components of language teaching,plays a significant role in teaching Chinese as a second language. An excellenttextbook contributes to imparting knowledge and improving students’ language skills.So lots of people focus on textbook compiling. Textbooks are the basis of teachingand the sources of learning. Compared with the texts’ arrangements, vocabulary,grammar, exercises between Developing Chinese-Advanced Comprehensive Courseand Modern Chinese-Advance Course, I propose some suggestions and provideguidance for teaching and learning.This paper is composed of four parts:The first part is the introduction. The author introduces the reason, the meaningof this thesis in this part and the study review. The second part is the introduction ofcompiling principle and textbook evaluation between Developing Chinese-AdvancedComprehensive Course and Modern Chinese-Advance Course. The third part is thecore part of this paper. It is a concrete analysis between DevelopingChinese-Advanced Comprehensive Course and Modern Chinese-Advance Course. Theauthor examines the theme, types of literature, vocabulary, grammar, exercises,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of these two textbooks. The fourth partis some suggestions to the advanced textbooks for teaching Chinese as a secondlanguage and the summary of the layout of the two textbooks.
