The thesis is based on Paul de Man’s allegory concept. With the "Allegory" concept, the passage focuses on Paul de Man’s entire deconstruction thought. Traditional allegory idea of the West is based on metaphysical metaphor, therefore, it is fundamentally permeated with paranoid color. On the basis of Benjamin’s allegory and Nietzsche’s forgotten thought, Paul de Man further proposes the theory of "Allegory of Reading". The theory not only deconstructs metaphysical implication of traditional allegory idea of the West, but also deconstructs homogeneity of the text which is dominated by traditional allegory idea.Paul de Man explores the self-splitting situation of allegory which human encounter through the rhetorical nature of language and the original ontology of time. Firstly, Paul de Man concentrates on the meaning domain of objects that how the meaning of objects constructs itself in language. In Paul de Man’s opinion, the birth of objects is the result of self-imagination. As a result, language becomes a set of huge ideographic structure, which eventually reveals the root of the plight of allegory. Human always name themselves by the virtue of logical language, which force them to regulate the world in a kind of rhetorical way. Therefore, the course is awarded for the dimension of time. It means that earlier presumption has actually determined the future achieved and expected assertion. This kind of time subverts traditional clock time, which deeply reveals the self-splitting situation of allegory. After the exploration of symbiotic relationship between grammar and rhetoric, de Man broke the traditional text idea that grammar controls rhetoric and put forward his own allegory textual idea. The grammar and rhetoric which were born in the text are always in a mutual deconstructed and intertwined state. Therefore, they get rid of a unified illusion of "real things" and "concept" of things. Actually, the relationship between "real things(grammar)" and "concept of things(rhetoric)" is casual. They have no unity. All texts are narrating this kind of casual relationship. The statements are in a allegory way, because the notation separates from its substance. It’s denotation depends on people’s vision. Therefore, allegory text tells us all possibilities of meaning interpretation.
