Antonin Dvorak was born in Nelahozeves, Bohemia in1841and died in Prague. His compositions range widely, he created so many works. As for piano compositions, he created 《Du Muka》,《Poetic Pictures》,《Piano Concerto》(Works33) which are Piano Trio song or Piano Solo song. Someone evaluated him and said that works he composed are equipped with the characteristics of citizen culture. While John Kt Punta criticized his compositions, all his works has a kind of natural freshness, which covers virtuosity included in the work and painstakingly thinking for the purpose of thinking about a theme.《Slavonic Dance》 Op.72is a suite Antonin Dvorak created in1886, which is not only his representative piano works, but also the turning point of his composition. A famous musical critic from Berlin criticized and said that there is no doubt that Dvorak is a definitely genius. And he predicted that 《Slavonic Dance》 would make Dvorak well known because his works are not pretentious and natural. Based on creative approach, music performance, music structure size and the application of Czech folk music language,《Slavonic Dance》 Op.72can show the Deep inside foundation of musical expression, rendering the composition perfect and the audio colorful.Based on a detailed analysis of this suite and by the ways of making a summary reasoning and taking examples, I analyze the structures of the work itself, describe the ethnic and symphonic characteristics of the works and think about series of playing problems caused by the ethnic and symphonic feature of the composition. Through these studies, people can have a further understanding of Dvorak Piano works. The language of music of Dvorak is natural, which is different from many musician’s in the Romantic Period. It is typical in the aspect of pursuing characteristic liberation in the Romantic Period, so it occupies a very special place in the history of music and it is equipped with high research value.
