India and China has a long history of cultural exchanges,sinceancient times there has been a constant mutual learning and mutualexchanges between the two countries.. Buddhism of India hassignificantly impacted and contributed in Chinese culture. The sametime, the profound Chinese culture is gradually impacting India. Inrecent years, with increasingly frequent exchanges between China andIndia has created Chinese Language Fever in India. This paper hasthoroughly researched present situation and existing problems inChinese language education in India. And has put forward thecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions. I hope this study willprovide a theoretical and practical significance to promote theSino-Indian educational exchanges, to deeply understand and toimprove the quality of Chinese language teaching in India. The paper isdivided into five chapters.Chapter One mainly states the significance ofselected topic and draws up the problems to be solved, methods ofsolving the problems as well as literature review related to thethesis.Chapter Two introduces review section for the history of Chineselanguage teaching in India. This chapter focuses on the teachingstages of Chinese language education in India and classification ofteaching level. It also analyzes the situation of teachers and regionaldistribution of Indian Chinese teaching. Chapter Three is about thecurrent situation of Chinese language teaching in India. In this chapteron the basis of the first two chapters writer has given the more clearerintroduction of the teaching stages of Chinese language education in India, regional distribution, teaching material, teachers etc. ChapterFour talks about the existing problems in Chinese teaching in India andits countermeasures. The writer in this chapter analyzes the existingproblems and has suggested specific measures to solve theproblems.Chapter Five mainly on the basis of the first few chapterssummarizes the whole paper.
