The Study On The "Verb+Xia" Structure And Relevent Issues

In this paper, we will study "Verb+xia" Structure, which is higher frequency used in the modern Chinese, we will use both grammatical and syntactic perspectives and by means of exemplification and explanation, conduct a both synchronic and diachronic research into the "V+xia" Structure based on the theories of structuralism, grammaticalization and cognitive linguistic.First, we study the grammatical meaning and sentence of the "V+xia"Structure from two aspects:First, on the basis of previous research, we will divide the meanings of "V+xia" into three categories:directional meaning, consequent meaning and dynamic meaning. And make a specific investigation of which the verb can enter the "V+xia" Structure; Second, make the specific analysis of each category of the the object and the sentence behind the "V+xia" Structure.Second, we will study the the grammaticalization process and the virtual mechanism of "V+xia" Structure; First, from six historical periods, we study the meaning’s development of "xia" and the development of "V+xia" Structure, We also make a detailed description of the development of "V+xia"; Second, we use the knowledge of cognitive linguistics to analyze the semantic differential path among three types of "xia", we explain the virtual mechanism of "xia" from cognitive picture, metaphorical projection, re-analysis of three aspects. Through the summary of virtual process of "xia" we further analyze the total performance of grammatical meaning of "xia".Finally, we compare with the structure of grammatical meaning of the "Verb+xia" or similar structure, we mainly compare the different points of "xia" and "xia lai" when "xia" and "xia lai" respectively meaning result and the state.We will also compare "V-xia" meaning secession and "V-kai" meaning accommodation.
