From The Other Mirror To See Cultural Cognition In The Context Of Globalization And Cultural Differences

At the end of the last century to the beginning of this century, profound changesin development occurred all around the world.This change is not only in the politics,economics, but also in cultural basis of globalization language environment. Nomatter from what level or Angle, both inheritance or lost of the modern culture fortraditional culture, and fusion or conflict of Oriental culture and western culture areclearly set before us. In this social history background, cultural identity and culturedifferences naturally become an important theoretical and practical problem. Torationally proceed with cultural exchange and overcome the difference, they have tothink about themselves and others. In self identity and the relation with other cultures,you must act before thinking.At the second decade of this century, at the17th plenary meeting, we will put thestrategy of building a cultural and powerful country at an unprecedented level. Basedon this understanding, this article will focus on the two key meaning of culture andthe application of generalized investigation.While writing, I firstly described the background and significance of theresearch with objective and pragmatic attitude, systematically organized the domesticand international research, linking the otherness with cultural ties. Then formed theconcept of the semantic traceability and concepts as the starting point to discuss theapplication of the concept of otherness, investigating the subjective consciousness ofWestern culture, and thus deduced the study of the field of culture. What Should benoted is that, although the widespread sense of otherness in the traditional Chineseculture, because the concept of otherness came from the West, most of the materialsare related to Western center awareness so this part of the inspection began from theWestern culture to discuss the cultural phenomenon of this awarenessAfter a brief analysis and comparison of the concept of otherness and culturalresearch, I discussed about cultural issues. In the study, I put the culture into thecontext of globalization and did the related research, and from the culture ofglobalization essence, trace their roots to exploit its characteristics, whichinvestigated the cultural identity of the status quo of the era of globalization.， nowadays, economic globalization lead to cultural development trend, the culturalidentity crisis and controversy for a growing number of theorists recognize theintricate history of cultural exchanges resulting in a complex and diverse backgroundof today’s culture, in global culture, the rise of cultural imperialism, the powerfulWest center of consciousness requires us to further examine the relationship betweenthe self and the others, to seek survival and development in multicultural atmosphere.in the last part,analyzed the necessary of cross-culture, summed up how to face up tocultural differences, to enhance cultural awareness, and enhance culturalself-confidence to achieve cultural self-reliance.From “Learning from Western culture " to “introducing our culture to the outsideworld”, making us heard in the world of culture, is still our aim when doing research.
