With the development of economic globalization, Chinese enterprises gradually and more actively participate in the international competition with more and more exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries. It is of great importance for the enterprises to do the publicity work. Among all the publicity work, the English corporate profile is one of the perfect ways to promote the enterprises to the world. Therefore, the important role of the Chinese corporate profile translation to establish enterprise image and enhance its international competitiveness has been increasingly dominant.Adaptation Theory was first put forward by Jef Verschueren, a Belgium pragmatist. According to Jef Verschueren, language use is a process of continuous choice making at different degrees of salience. In his book, Understanding Pragmatics, he suggested four pragmatic study perspectives, which are Contextual Correlates of Adaptability, Structural Objects of Adaptability, Dynamics of Adaptability and Salience of the Adaptation Processes. This thesis aims to study the Chinese-English corporate profile from the two perspectives of Contextual Correlates of Adaptability, Structural Objects of Adaptability of Adaptation Theory in pragmatics. This research takes the Chinese and English corporate profile from part of Chinese enterprises as samples and analyzes them. The author reveals that in the translation process of corporate profile, the translator should take the target linguistic structure and contextual correlates of target readers into consideration. The linguistic structure includes lexical level, syntactic level and stylistic level. And the contextual correlates include mental world and social world. Only by adapting to the target language and culture can the target reader understand and accept the English corporate profile.
