The value of classical Chinese poetry should not be overlooked in Chinese literature and even in world literature. Many translators at home and abroad are dedicated to the translation of classical Chinese poems, and many outstanding translation works have been published. Classical Chinese poems have latent abundant meaning systems and cultural elements. In view of this point, it is well worthy exploring the issue of the translation of classical Chinese poetry.Studies at aesthetic experience have become an important subject in the field of Chinese and Western aesthetics. With the development of fuzziness aesthetics, the fuzziness experience of the aesthetic experience has gradually become the focus of many scholars’research pursuits. Classic Chinese poetry is an excellent case with which to take for research at fuzziness experience. This thesis focuses on the research at the translation of Du Fu’s Seven-character Octave Poetry. It takes Fuzziness Experience of Aesthetic Experience Theory as the basic theory and uses Du Fu’s Eight Octaves on Autumnal Musings(《秋兴八首》)as its research text. The writer in this research effort found that the translation appreciation of classic Chinese poetry should be in a way that goes beyond "right" or "wrong." The case study and comparative approach are my main research methods in the analysis process of this thesis. It analyzes different English versions translated by different translators, exploring the aesthetic effects produced by aesthetical fuzziness experience that undergoes the process of the English translation of Du Fu’s Seven-character Octave Poetry. In the first chapter this thesis expounds the meaning of aesthetic experience, and differentiates aesthetic experience from non-aesthetics experience. It also makes a brief description of concerning theories and documents in various research fields. The second chapter focuses on studies at fuzziness experience of aesthetic experience, and explains the factors that cause the formation of the fuzziness in original works. The third chapter uses English translation versions of Du Fu’s Eight Octaves on Autumnal Musings (《秋兴八首》) as examples, illustrating in details the aesthetic effects produced by aesthetic fuzziness experience as translators are in the translation process of Du Fu’s Seven-character Octave Poetry. This chapter also provides with some other relative considerations about the application of Fuzziness Experience in the translation of the classic Chinese poetry. The last part is a conclusion of the above studies.
