The Yibin and Luzhou of SiChuan Province are prefectures which are closely connected and most of the administrative regions have experienced separation and mergence since the ancient times. The phonological structures of their dialects demonstrate much consistency as well. We can see disparity within these commonness. This thesis will use the methods of historical comparative linguistics and geolinguistics and combine the principle of diachronic comparative linguistics and the synchronic comparative linguistics to present the relationship among the dialects of these areas through the theory of geolinguistics and in the form of map of dialects.
