Research On Herbert Marcuse’s Aesthetic Redemption Theory

As a Jew, Herbert Marcuse’s thoughts are deeply permeated with the influences of Messiah Concept which exists everywhere and never fades out. The redemption theory in Messiah Concept runs through Herbert Marcuse’s ideological course in his whole life; whether the earlier years’social critical theory or the later art aesthetic appreciation theory, we can always find its obvious imprints and traces. This thesis aims to research the Herbert Marcuse’s thoughts from the aspect of Messiah Concept in Judaism, systematically review the development history, deeply analyze his aesthetic redemption theory and finally interpret the uniqueness of Herbert Marcuse’s Aesthetics.
