Research And Realization Of Uyghur Ideom Retriaval System

Uyghur idiom had a long history,it is the crystallization of the Xinjiang Uighur language arts. At present there are any retrieval system of Uyghur idioms. There are some e_dictionary could searching some Uyghur idioms, but the search functions include single keyword search, searching for character, searching for category, and searching for radical. Users are requested to input these query items into idiom retrieval systems for search. However, users always remember the meaning of Uyghur idioms but not idiom text when they want to search. The aim of this study was to construct a Uyghur idiom information retrieval system base on the meaning of idiom (Uyghur Idiom Retrieval System, UIRS), and to solve these questions described as above. UIRS contains four models which are pre-processing of idiom content, query processing, and retrieval processing, and exhibition of query outcome. User inputted oral questions with a simple query, UIRS can more accurately find the idioms by handling query extension and increasing keywords weight. System also can effectively find the idiom by counting and classifying keywords of searched results, and then working "Facet Query" and "Revised Query". In addition, UIRS also builds the conception of Web2.0that users can provide synonyms and recommend meanings information, in order to increase the efficiency of UIRS.
