The Corresponding Expression Of Chinese Character Description Idioms In Uyghur Language

Idioms,as the epitome of a national culture,are created by people in the process of using language for a long time.They have unique cultural connotations and strong national colors,and the development and use of idioms of a nation.It is an encyclopedia of national development.The study of Chinese idioms started early,and the research results are rich;the study of Uygur idioms is relatively slow,and the research results need to be improved.Based on previous studies,this paper selects the novel Jia(1953)(Chinese,Uighur translation),The Border Town(2008)(Chinese,Uighur translation),This Side Scenery(2013)(Chinese,Uighur translation)as the source of corpus.The purpose of this paper is to collect 219 unique character description idioms,which are guided by the rhetorical theories of Chen Wangdao and Wang Jiexi,and the translation theories of two strategies and seven techniques of Vernay and Daberne.The methods of literature,induction and contrast are adopted.Through the comparative analysis of rhetorical devices,emotional color and idiom translation,this paper summarizes the characteristics of Uyghur corresponding expressions of rhetorical devices and emotional colors of Chinese idioms.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter defines the Chinese idiom and divides the character description idiom into four categories:external description,internal description,production and life description,and relationship description with the surrounding area.It also combs the present situation of the research on Chinese and Uyghur idioms and Chinese and Uyghur character description idioms.The second chapter expounds the corresponding expressions of the rhetorical devices commonly used in Chinese character description idioms,such as metaphor,arrival,exaggeration,repetition,antithesis and so on.The third chapter analyzes the corresponding expression of Chinese character description idioms in Uyghur language combined with emotional color,stylistic color and image color.The fourth chapter analyzes the specific use of the three translation techniques of part of speech conversion,adjustment,absence,addition and compensation in the translation of Chinese character description idioms,and puts forward some views on the semantic choice of the same idiom or the same kind of idiom in the context.Finally,the paper summarizes the full text,and holds that the translator should determine the meaning of idioms in the process of translation,pay attention to rhetoric and color translation,and strive to achieve higher translation results by using reasonable translation techniques.
