| Sense of place is one of the main conceptions of the humanistic geography in1970s. Sense of place is a special relationship between human and places which is atransformation of the cultural and social characteristics of people-land relationship. Ihave a bold vision that do the Du Fu’s research with human geography knowledge anduse the sense of place as a starting point to examine.The paper first introduces the theory of the sense of place, which demonstratedthe possibility that sense of place used to explain the Du Fu. It provides a newtheoretical perspective in Du Fu’s study. The space experience in Du Fu ‘s poemsdivided into four types: Superficial, feel, dependent and rooted types, and discuss oneby one.Place attachment in Du Fu including the attachment of Du Fu’s hometown andthe attachment to resident. The attachment of hometown in Du Fu is not only limitedto the place of birth, but also extended from the hometown, Chang An to the entireNorth Central Plains region. The attachment to Resident originated from theconstruction of the resident, meaning constructed of “home†to the resident, and DuFu produced sentimentality to the resident.Local identity in Du Fu Is firstly built on the basis of local identity, which hasgreat relevance with Du Fu’s official experience and suffering psychological after thechaos of war. Secondly, Du Fu’s local space identity and cultural identity affected theperformance of Du Fu spatial form and emotional dimensions. The lack of recognitionof the southwest led to the lack of sense of belonging to the southwest region.Finally, from the dynamic and diachronic perspective, the papers examine theevolution of Du Fu’s sense of place, and analyze the evolution of factors of sense ofplace. |
