In the circle of Chinese contemporary literature, Wang Meng is unique for his unique creation. In nearly half a century, Wang Meng has created nearly100novels. He is one of the contemporary literary writers whose creation is the most fruitful and always maintain the creative vitality. Wang Meng always tries to innovate, explores new ideas and new art practices, attracting researchers to pay special attention to his creation.No matter how things are changing, the glorious revolution is unforgettable in Wang Meng’s heart. He creates the image of revolutionary cadres of that era. The Image of cadres is the special product of the times. The cadres’ image shows the change of the political situation in China. Studying the image of cadres in Wang Meng’s novels will reach depths of Wang Meng’s heart and dig this image of profound historical and cultural connotation with positive practical significance.This article takes the image of cadres in Wang Meng’s novels from Baihua Literature period to the new Era medium-term as an example, sorts out and summarizes the historical context as well as the type of cadres’ image, explores the underlying discourse mechanism and the presented characteristics of art, then analyses the special realistic significance thoroughly and reflects Chinese Contemporary literary creation. This article is divided into four sections to explain the image of cadres in Wang Meng’s novels. Chapter One combs the evolution process of cadres’image in20th century, analyses the historical context of cadre image in Wang Meng’s novels, discusses the origins of cadres’ image in revolutionary politics. Chapter Two analyzes the types of cadres’ image and discusses the characteristics of cadres’ image in his novels. Chapter Three discusses the discourse mechanisms of cadres’ image in Wang Meng’s novels and analyzes generation of cadres’ image from the political discourse, individual discourse and the literature discourse. Chapter four discusses the characteristics of the cadres’ image in Wang Meng’s novels and reveals the diversification of writing skills.
