In recent years, with the rapid development of information technology, networkapplications has penetrated into every area of society. Not only changes people’s life style andstudies gradually, but also affects people’s development of psychology and behaviors. InternetAddiction has become one of the hot issues in the psychology research at home and abroad.Many studies have shown that Internet Addiction will caused a series of influence in the users’study, work and family lifes. As higher vocational students use network frequently, there arecertain relationships between their own personalities and Internet Addiction tendency, andInternet Addiction can also affect their satisfaction to life.A questionnaire survey was conducted of572higher vocational college students in thisresearch, the Chinese Internet Addiction scale, Big-Five personality questionnaire, Lifesatisfaction scale were used and the results were as follow:(1) There are some higher vocational college students become Internet addicts, thesurvey reveal that:391students were non-addicts, accounting for68.35%;118students weremild Internet Addicts in118, accounting for21.63%;63students were severe network addicts,accounting for10.02%.(2) There are some significant differences in the demographic variable to highervocational college students.(3) The dimension scores of higher vocational college students in the Big-Fivepersonality were lower than the national norm level.(4) The level of higher vocational college students’ life satisfaction was a little higherthan the mean level on the whole, that is, contemporary vocational college studentsexperience more subjective well-being.(5) The following factors in Big Five personality traits, such as Agreeableness,Conscientiousness and Openness had remarkable passive predictable functions on InternetAddiction.(6) The higher degree of Internet Addiction, the lower satisfaction to life for highervocational college students.
