| Twenty-first century has brought us into the age of knowledge-based economy, and the severe competition of comprehensive power between nations is ultimately the competition in education and talents. It has become a key factor to cultivate talents, in order to develop our country’s education as a solid basis to strengthen our overall national power. Therefore, we should attach a primary importance to developing education, which is bound to be quality-oriented. However, there exists so many shortcomings in the traditional class teaching that students’ individual personalities are overlooked, their initiatives are not completely encouraged, and the inefficient evaluation system is blocking the students’ innate motivation, which is totally apposed to the ideal of over-all development. As is known to all, there are both similarity and variability in students’ quality, and the latter has to be made good use of in order to turn out all kinds of qualified talents to meet the needs of social development. As a response to quality-oriented education, a new teaching mode called classified teaching method has been applied. It is popular in today’s teaching and researching community, for it has broken the confines of the traditional class teaching method, and optimized classroom activities according to actual situations.Based on the results of numerous studies and researches, this paper has presented the historic development of classified teaching both abroad and at home, specified its theories and significance. What’s more, based on the situation of my school, particularly my experiences in applying the classified class teaching in grade three over years, this paper tries to indentify the existing problems in applying this method under the guideline of new course standard, with the hope that my teaching practice and research can be of some help for others who are also committed to ideology and morality course... |
