With the popularization of network and rapid development of online games, internet gameindustry is thriving and consequently gives rise to online game language, which is a special typeof language. Online game language, like the internet language, taking the network as the basicand the main communication medium, has formed its own characteristics with the background ofspecific games. A more significant phenomenon is that part of the online game language hasentered the network language and daily talk. But the study of the online game language areextremely few, in order to further research the special language phenomenon, this paper takesFight the Landlord of QQ, Fantasy Westward Journey, Crazy Racing Kart Rider and HappyFarms as the research objects to study online game language through the case study, and make afurther analysis and discussion on the basis of the relevant theoretical knowledge in linguisticsand requires a large on the basis of corpus.This text starts from the background and definition of online game language, makes a deepanalysis of the online game language syntax, pragmatic, in nonverbal symbols and vocabularycharacteristics with a full use of the basis of self-built corpus; Moreover, it analyzes the featuresof the whole online game language; Lastly, it explores the relationship with the internet languageand daily life term. This paper makes a conclusion that the syntax feature of online gamelanguage is the simple syntax structure, optional sentence formation rules, punctuation use chaosetc. The pragmatic feature of online game language is the differences between its written formand spoken form, general code--switching, and the language signs instead of language form.On the vocabulary, there are three types on lexis: shortening, homophony and combination. Thesources of the lexis are from terms of game, internet language and everyday language. It isconcise, diversified, personalized, interesting, and vulgar. Online game language, as well asinternet language between daily talk with interaction and mutual absorption of the relationship.Hoping this paper could make up for the deficiency of the network game language study, andprovides research provides some reference for future network game language and internetlanguage.
