Study On The Evolution Of Cursive Font

Cursive is an important character, all fonts in modern character stage is closelylinked to cursive script. In this paper evolution of cursive font is mainly as theresearch object, studies the evolution phenomenon of cursive font and summarizesthe evolution law of cursive font. Study on evolution of cursive font has importantsignificance for the science of Chinese characters and calligraphy.Chapter1summarizes and analysis the cursive font evolution of situation, theresearch methods of the subject can be proposed in this basis. In this paper thecursive font evolved into budding period, forming period and mature period of threestages. With the three stages of the corresponding cursive fonts are Li cursive, Zhangcursive and Jin cursive. From the point of view of philology, with real data,combined with the literature, to describe the evolution of cursive font, and then findout the laws governing the variation of the font, summed up the cursive far-reachingimplications for the Chinese characters.Chapter2: The evolution of the phenomenon and law of Li cursive wasanalyzed. In the font aspect, the change lies in the form of strokes from Li cursive toSeal script; in writing, appeared a small number of connections writing. The effecton the Chinese characters is mainly promoted the formation of strokes.Chapter3: it mainly analyzes the deformation phenomenon and laws of Zhangcursive. In the font aspect, the changes from Zhang cursive to Li cursive lie inturning and large usage of cursive symbol. In writing, Zhang cursive had lots ofassociated writing. Zhang cursive made great influence on Official script, Regularscript, Running script, and modern cursive.Chapter4: it mainly analyzes the deformation phenomenon and laws of moderncursive. In the font aspect, the changes from Zhang cursive to modern cursive lie inits continue turning increasly. In the writing, modern cursive, different from Zhangcursive’s independence of every word, mained in associated writing between words.modern cursive made its positive Significance，adapting the trend of SimplifyingChinese Characters.
