As a part of "Three-Self Movement" campaign across the country,Early Days of the Gansu Christian not only had the country commonality, but alsohad the personality of Gansu Province, this study has practical significance.This paper consists of five parts; there are the introduction, four chapters andconclusions. The introduction discusses the significance of the topic of the article,national and local study conditions, research methods and data as well as theproblem of the definition of several important concepts. The first chapter accountsof the national background of the "Three-Self Reform" movement from a widerange. Pointing out that the "Three-Self Movement" is the category of Christianlocalization of areas, elaborating the formation process of the founding of the earlyChristian "innovation" policy, and summarizing the initiated process of the"reform movement". The second chapter account s of the history of the GansuChristian and the conditions of the beginning of1949. The third Chapter does thedetailed combing to the implementation of "Three-Self Reform Movement" inGansu. The forth Chapter starts from the deficiencies of the complaint movement,does the reflection for the "Three-Self" of Gansu, the purpose of the complaintsand counter-insurgency is to make the church recognize the face of the imperialism and clear within the Church’s counter-revolutionaries, but themovement has the situation of negating everything and the striking surface is toowide, focus on missionaries to set up a variety of public institutions to illustrate thecontribution of Gansu. The conclusion part of the full text concludes that Christianhas a strong mass base in Gansu; it brings a lot of inconvenience for carrying out acomplaint, under the leadership of the government, overcome the difficulties, andfinally achieved success. Pointed out that Gansu Christian "self-innovation"movement, while not the center of whole country, but still the one who awakeningearly and initiate fast, large momentum, the more successful provinces. Keepingup with the pace of the country and actively participating in social movements,especially in the Three-Self Movement and the War to Resist U.S. Aggression andAid Korea campaign has made some achievements, has made its own contributionto the development of Gansu as well as the new China.
