A Probe Into Musical Creation Characteristics Of Yin Qing’s Vocal Works

Yin Qing, a famous military composer in contemporary China, has beenengaged in musical creation for nearly forty years. His works include vocal songs,instrumental music, opera, dance music, musical play, movies and televisionmusic and so on. Among these fields, his achievement of song creation is sooutstanding that most of his works gain great popularity among many singers,common people, the officers and soldiers in the army. He is called "China’sSchubert" because he has created more than one thousand vocal works,in whichmore than one hundred won many awards across the country and the army.The thesis mainly consists of three parts. The first part is an introduction ofYin Qing’s life.The second part describes his creation during the two periods of Nanjingand Beijing and its overview of his musical creation background.In the third part, the thesis elaborates his creation characteristics in terms oftime-spirit, innovation and perfection, among them, time-spirit of the works isdiscussed in terms of the military songs, theme songs, and other lyric songs, thefeature of innovation is expounded from the aspects of national music and popmusic,artistic quality and publicity. As for perfection, the thesis illustrates it fromthe two following aspects: the perfect integration of lyrics and music, the fullcombination of accompaniment and singing voices.
