The Zisi-Mencius School was one of the most important of the Confucian School,this school is a proposition which as a modern academic perspective, Becausebetween people due to zisi, zisi’ disciple and Mencius, they really have thought ofinheritance, but in terms of actual history, during the spring and autumn period andwarring states period, They have not organized into an actual academic groups.Therefore, this article in the modern academic perspective to study of Zisi-MenciusSchool. This article is based on previous studies, in order to recently excavatedmaterial as the starting point, combined with live literature and take the history as thebackground, intended to do some research of the academic inheritance of theZisi-Mencius School and its evolution of the people-based thought. The earlier periodof the Zisi-Mencius School on people-based thought was the foundation of theMencius thought of the people-based thought reached the peak of the ConfucianPeople-based Thought. This has a great relationship with Zisi-Mencius School’swithin heritage. This article is based on this research object,on some issues had putforward some new thinking and perspectives.This article is composed of three parts by the introduction, the main text andconclusion. The introduction briefly outlines the characteristics and the presentsituation of the Zisi-Mencius School, and has pointed out the existence question andthe insufficiency, also expounded this article’s writing intention and the basicmentality. The main text divides into five chapters:The first chapter, entitled “The Zisi-Mencius School and its academic inheritancetests theory”. Has related discussion on the production and changing of theZisi-Mencius School, thought that the Zisi-Mencius School is an academic term in themodern academic context, many academic debates were due to different features ofunderstanding. Relations of succession within the Zisi-Mencius School, after analysisand summary of the previous view, think that Zisi apprenticed Zigong brought a newperspective.The second chapter “The Zisi’s works and The Zisi-Mencius School”. Has madesome exploration about the generation and transformation of the “Zisi’s works”, and researched on documents handed down and new unearthed the literature of Zisi,thought that the Confucian writings of Guodian not sure only belongs to Zisi but alsobelongs to Zisi school.In chapter third “By the Bamboo Slips of Guodian looks the people-basedthought of the Zisi-School”. Has made some defined on the concept of people-basedthought in pre-Qin, and based on “Zisi’s works” in literature and recently excavated,also made some research on Zisi-School of the people-based thought. Pointed out theZisi school’s teach people to moral, love the subjects as if they were their ownchildren、pay attention to people’s livelihood and other aspects of the people-orientedthought,is construction of the Zisi-Mencius School’s people-oriented thought.The fourth chapter “The perfection of the Mencius’s people-based thought”.Discussed from Mencius’s friendly nature and the kind political theory embarks, hasmade some research for Mencius’s people-based thought, and thought that theMencius’ thought of the people-based reached the peak of the thought of thepeople-based of the Zisi-Mencius School,it was not only inherited but also developedthe people-based thought of Zisi, on the inheritance and development has also made anumber of expositions.The fifth chapter “The appraisal and the later generation influence of theZisi-Mencius School”. First of all, elaborated the simple influence to the latergeneration of the Zisi-Mencius School, from two aspects elaborated the influenceabout the king and the gentleman person in ancient times. Secondly, did some analyzeand summarize on the progress and limitations of the Zisi-Mencius School. Finallydiscussed the impact of the Zisi-Mencius School’s people-oriented thought on thecontemporary society.Final conclusion part, mainly from the concept of the Zisi-Mencius School、theirinternal inheritance and the evolution of the people-oriented thought and otheraspects,has made the summary to the full text.
